 Dair Molavi 2020

During my time at L3Harris, I have come to work on a variety of programs, with a variety of engineers across the skill centers. Through these interactions, I’ve listened to what people enjoy about life at L3Harris, and what they would like changed or improved.
I’ve spent the past year as Grievance Chairperson assisting engineers with questions ranging from day-to-day inquiries to merger related questions to more serious issues involving ASPEP involvement. Two additional RIFs during 2024, while small compared to the 2023 RIFs, were unsettling experiences for all engineers in Camden, and I worked with the impacted engineers to ensure they received all benefits to which they were entitled.
I realize the upcoming Performance Review period is a time of stress for some engineers and is a common cause of grievances with the company. It is during this period that communication between the engineer and his/her manager is key - key for the engineer to communicate all that they have accomplished over the year, and key for the manager to clearly explain the engineer’s ranking and review. Good communication can often clear up any misunderstandings that may occur during this process. Regardless of whether an engineer pursues a grievance or not, the initial discovery can often open channels of communication, leading to valuable discussions between the engineer and manager.
I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the L3Harris engineering community as the Grievance Chairperson. Thank you for your support.
